How We Recruit

Values-based recruitment with rigorous screening, what to expect, and why families can trust who we send.

Two promises at once

Friendly to candidates. Rigorous for families.

Our recruitment process makes two promises simultaneously: to you, a fair, human process where kindness counts as qualification; and to the people we support, that nobody reaches their door without being properly vetted, checked and trained. Neither promise ever discounts the other.

Values first

We recruit for compassion, reliability and communication, the things that can’t be trained, and then teach the skills that can. Interviews are two-way conversations about real situations, not interrogations. Experience helps, but a genuine desire to improve the lives of others matters more.

Screening & compliance, every single hire

  • Enhanced DBS check: arranged and supported by us
  • Right-to-work verification: full UK eligibility confirmed
  • Employment references: properly taken and verified
  • NMC registration checks: current registration with no restrictions, for all nursing roles, re-verified regularly
  • Driving licence & vehicle checks: for community driving roles
  • Full training & competency sign-off: before any solo working

Inclusive by accreditation

As a Disability Confident Committed employer we guarantee fair consideration and offer adjustments at every stage; just tell us what you need. And as a fair employer, the job you’re applying for pays fairly from day one.

What happens after you apply

You’ll hear from us promptly, usually within a few working days. The recruitment journey includes a phone conversation, an online interview/in person interview, pre-employment checks, a paid induction, shadow shifts with experienced colleagues, and your first solo visit with full on-call support available. The entire process is outlined on our How to Apply page.
