Nobody should pay to become a care staff member, and nobody should stall in a job with no ladder. At Flexecare, training is free and paid from day one, and progression is a plan we build with you, not a poster in the office.
Our own Care Manager progressed through hands-on roles to NVQ Level 3, and is now pursuing Level 5 Leadership and Management while leading our service. That’s the pattern we want to repeat, with you.
Your induction
What we train, free
A full paid induction before your first solo visit, refreshed and extended throughout your career with us.
- Core care skills: person-centred care, dignity and communication
- Moving and handling: safe transfers and equipment
- Medication: prompting through to administration, with competency sign-off
- Safeguarding adults: recognising and reporting concerns
- Infection prevention and control: including PPE best practice
- Basic life support and first aid awareness
- Condition-specific modules: dementia, Parkinson’s, MS, end of life
- Record keeping: clear, professional care notes
This list is not exhaustive.
Working alongside experienced colleagues during shadow shifts provides valuable hands-on experience before delivering care independently. Staff are supported to work on their own only when they are fully prepared and assessed as ready.
